“The Dark World” Mariachi Cover

“The Dark World” from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is arguably one of the best and most well-known themes in the franchise. Over the years, there have been many covers and re-imaginings of this iconic song. But, thanks to DaveYard Shift, we can hear this theme in a new light with an exciting mariachi cover.

With Captain Mandi Lozano on guitarrón, Gilberto Martinez on guitar/vihuela, Alfredo and Amy Rabago on violin, Alina Lozano on flute, and DaveYard Shift on trumpet and as the arranger, this mix puts a new spin on the classic theme. The video also feels like it was recorded in one sitting, lending an air of freshness and excitement to the final product.
