The Champions’ Ballad Still on Track for a 2017 Release
Posted on October 26 2017 by Rod Lloyd
We’ve heard very little about Breath of the Wild‘s second expansion since its announcement earlier this year. Without any significant news regarding the DLC pack, we were beginning to think it had been delayed to next year. Fans can now rest easy though, as Nintendo has re-confirmed that “The Champions’ Ballad” is still planned for release later this year.
During last month’s Direct, Nintendo announced that a new batch of Breath of the Wild amiibo would be releasing on November 10th, sparking speculation that “The Champions’ Ballad” could arrive alongside the new figures. But in a comment to Kotaku, Reggie Fils-Aime noted, “We will shortly be announcing the date for that content, so I would not lock and load on November 10th.”
While we might not see Breath of the Wild‘s second expansion in the next few weeks, it is reassuring to know that we’ll be exploring the wilds of Hyrule once again sometime this year. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
Are you glad to hear that “The Champions’ Ballad” will release this year? What are you hoping to see? Let us know in the comments below.
