photo (12) Legend of Zelda fans love to mark their territory in different areas of gaming whenever possible; whether this serves as a mating call to alert fellow fans of their presence, or simply as homage to the series that nurtured them is up for interpretation. We recently reported on the recreation of the original Legend of Zelda’s map in Minecraft, yet another recreation has been spotted in a PC game. The MMORPG WildStar gives players a lot of freedom in Housing customization, so one devoted Zelda fan took advantage of this to build a beautiful and pristinely accurate recreation of the Temple of Time from Ocarina of Time.

This recreation is beyond awe-inspiring. It captures the ambiance of the building very well and triggers my nostalgia. I can’t imagine how long it must have taken, it’s probably as accurate as it could ever be within the limits of this game, and it shows true dedication to the Zelda series; I seriously respect and admire whomever crafted this.

For those who don’t know, Wildstar is a sci-fi fantasy MMORPG that takes place on the planet Nexus where a technologically advanced race called the Eldan mysteriously disappeared. Right off the bat, WildStar players receive a Sky plot consisting of a House and several “sockets.” While exterior sockets must be placed in specified areas, interior design is basically free. Plots of land can be visited by any player with the owner’s permission, this plot is Exile – Jabbit, Nas Jenda.

What do you think of this recreation? Are any of you Wildstar players? What do you think the amount of Zelda references and recreations across gaming platforms says about the series? Give your two-cents in the comments!
