Tears of the Kingdom Chuchu-Shaped Candy Releasing in Japan in May

What’s better than Zelda merchandise? Zelda merchandise you can eat, of course! To promote the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Bandai Candy in Japan is releasing exclusive Chuchu-shaped gummy candy alongside the game in May. Given the fact that Chuchu enemies in the series already look like gummies anyway, I think it’s a fantastic idea! Although despite the variety of colors, they are all grape flavored, which is an interesting choice.
Alongside the sweet treats, there’s more news to “chu” on: packets of gummies will also come with one of five collectable sword picks that allow you to skewer the edible Chuchus just like Link does in Hyrule! Dreams do come true. The Master Sword is of course available, alongside other swords based on Tears of the Kingdom weaponry.
Additionally, Bandai Candy’s Breath of the Wild card and candy packs that originally launched in 2018 are being re-released as well, as reported by Take My Rupees on Twitter.
Personally, I’m surprised more Zelda-themed candy isn’t available, because there is inspiration for sweet treats all over Hyrule. Regardless, I will definitely be trying to get my hands on these Chuchus as I wait for my copy of Tears of the Kingdom to arrive on May 12th! What about you? Will you be ordering gummies and collecting the swords? Let us know in the comments!
