Take a Journey with This Amazing Orchestral Zelda Medley
Posted on September 12 2015 by Rod Lloyd
The Zelda series is no stranger to orchestral arrangements and covers, but it’s not everyday we hear a booming rendition of classic Zelda tunes performed by a single person. Talented multi-instrumentalist String Player Gamer recently released a masterful Zelda medley onto YouTube. The musician leads us through bite-sized orchestral versions of The Wind Waker‘s “Outset Island Theme,” A Link to the Past‘s “Forest Theme,” and more.
This medley by String Player Gamer is actually an excerpt from the musician’s larger “Legend of Zelda Ultimate Medley,” which was released last year. While not completely new, this shorter track offers a quick and powerful example of this musician’s masterful work. The song features orchestral versions of Ocarina of Time‘s “Sun Song” and “Lost Woods Theme,” The Wind Waker‘s “Outset Island Theme” and “Beedle’s Shop Theme,” A Link to the Past‘s “Forest Theme.”
String Player Gamer, known for great musicianship and occasional affinity for fun costumes, has several other Zelda covers on his YouTube channel, such as a cover of Majora’s Mask‘s “Song of Healing.”
