Comparison images and videos of The Wind Waker HD and the original version have been popping up everywhere the past few months, and I’m not surprised that a few more are squeezing their way in during the last few weeks before the release date. Regardless, they never get old and I always anticipate seeing them, as the difference between the two versions are so blatantly obvious that it really shows how much more amazing the game will be to play…

Nintendo released a new TV spot for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD yesterday, giving us a chance to check out some different parts of the gameplay. It’s only about 30 seconds long, but the commercial brings back a wonderful soundtrack as they show Link battling Phantom Ganon, sailing the Great Sea, and exploring the world that was first introduced to us 11 years ago. With new controls like the ability to sail faster, hopefully this game will fine tune the complaints that many fans have had over the years. As comfortable as the Gamecube controller was, the Wii U Gamepad offers an exciting new interface to control this game with. If the controls are as well adapted as they were for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, I don’t think any of us will be disappointed.

Nintendo has posted up on their Instagram account a commercial promoting the upcoming The Wind Waker HD bundle. It’s a short, to the point commercial which starts out with a simple background containing a picture of the Master Sword, a prop treasure chest and a Hylian Shield sitting atop a grassy landscape with the Fairy Fountain music playing. A few seconds in, the tune for opening a treasure chest sounds off and instantaneously a copy of Hyrule Historia, a Wii…

A while back we had posted about how much memory the downloadable version of The Wind Waker HD would take up on a Wii U system. That information was highly important to those Zelda fans that were planning on purchasing that version of the game since it allows them to figure out what space needs to be allocated. Now we have recently discovered a picture that shows what the actual file size will be. Click the link below to see…

There has been a lot of excitement the last two days with all the announcements concerning The Wind Waker HD, but today we have some unfortunate news to report. For Zelda fans who live down in Australia and New Zealand, there will be no Wind Waker Wii U bundle or special edition for you to purchase. An official Nintendo of Australia representative commented on the recent announcements stating that they “do not have plans to release these in Australia and…

Not only will there be a Symphony of the Goddesses concert to look forward to in Seattle on September 12, Zelda fans attending the concert will also have a chance to play the upcoming A Link Between Worlds for the 3DS as well as Wind Waker HD for the Wii U.

The new Wind Waker HD is all everyone’s been talking about lately, and recently Nintendo released some new in-game footage of the Hyrule Castle temple! Even with the darker pallette it has great visuals, and when color is added it’s absolutely stunning to look at! The video also mentions some new updates, such as being able to move Link while in first person, as well as explaining, in more detail, the functions of the new touch screen GamePad. Hit the…

Eccentric beyond belief and very likely deranged, Tingle has never failed at leaving a lasting impression on Zelda fans over the years. In no game in the series is this more true than The Wind Waker. From overcharging Link for translating Triforce Charts to forcing his brothers to perform hard labor atop his island tower, his portrayal in the game cemented his status as the Zelda series’ ultimate oddball. Though he hasn’t been openly featured in a new Zelda game…

Stop, slow down your life-sails, and consider the marvelous Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD retail copies due worldwide, soon enough. The Japan and Europe boxes (left and right) look fantastic, but what has really caught the staff’s cumulative eye is ‘Murricah’s own box art, smack-yellow in the center. October 4 is Europe’s confirmed date for Wind Waker HD, with a Japan and North American release following close suit. Which do you like best?

There are people in this world who can beat The Wind Waker in about four and a half hours. How in the world is this possible? Well it’s mostly the product of a glitch called “zombie hover.” Any speed runner would be elated to learn that it is, in fact, going to be a part of the re-release for the Wii U.
