Ganon the Animation

Animator Alexis Morand recently posted an amazing new video featuring animated adventures of the Gerudo king titled Ganon. In the video we see some popular scenes from various parts of the series such as Koholint Island, Lost Woods, and Death Mountain only from the perspective of Ganondorf in the place of Link. He wanders from familiar scene to familiar scene to a musical score from James O’Connor Moneley. Jump inside to check it out for yourself.

As Ocarina of Time continues to triumph as a fan favorite since its release just over 15 years ago, one could only imagine how it might look if it met today’s standards. Visual effects artist Michael Eurek recently constructed an entirely revamped version of the Temple of Time. Hit the jump to take a look!

Michael Eurek, an avid animator at Vimeo, has recreated the Temple of Time from Ocarina of Time, using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4. It is always great to see old games we love recreated in modern quality, but videos like this also give fans an idea of what we might be able to expect for future games. It’s not too terribly often that Nintendo endorses fan-made material. Granted, it’s happening more and more, as with the Nintendo-sponsored Wii U video contest, and Paper Mario diorama contest they’ve hosted in the past few months.
