Recent statements from Nintendo have suggested that Zelda Wii U was significantly influenced by Twilight Princess, and with many of us having recently played its HD remake, we thought it was a good time to consider what features from that cherished game we would want in Zelda Wii U. From its realistic graphics, to its interesting sidequests, memorable supporting characters, varied modes of exploration, and unique temples, Twilight Princess is a game that if tastefully emulated could certainly benefit Zelda…

With the Valentine’s Day holiday coming up, I’ve been thinking about who Link might spend it with. There’s obviously Zelda, Saria, Malon, or the less remembered Marin– and hey, he could even call-up Peatrice to see if she’s free on Sunday. But then I remembered, Link was once betrothed! The all too amorous and forward Princess Ruto of the Zoras bagged the Hero of Time when he was just a little boy and has been smitten with him ever since….

The Zelda series boasts more than its fair share of otherworldly and downright fascinating tribes. Similarly to some of the franchise’s most memorable characters, though, many of them serve as one-offs. That isn’t to say that said races receive the bare minimum of characterization. Nintendo definitely scatters tidbits of intrigue regarding these races throughout their respective games — enough for theorists, fan-fiction authors, and roleplayers to work with, at any rate. Admittedly, there’s something to be said about leaving details…

Welcome everyone to Zelda Artist Exposition! Readers, you probably know the drill by now but if not I will explain the idea. This series of features was created to expose Zelda-centric artists who deserve more recognition or are just incredibly talented in general. If you have an artist you would like to see featured, I am all ears. All I ask is that they have at least three pieces of artwork relating to the Legend of Zelda series. Today’s featured…

Today’s Fanart Spotlight is on deviantART artist Ganondorfs-Girl‘s fanart, “The Twili Tribe“. This particular piece of fanart is the product of an art trade that took place about six months ago where the artist would put an artist’s original Twili character in this art piece in exchange for that artist drawing an artwork of one of her original characters. It took some time to complete as one can tell from the time between when the trade was announced to the…

The Zelda series is one that prides itself on whimsical and fantastical ideas, so it should be no surprise that there are plenty of weird characters. Among those characters, however, are ones that are less than comforting. Three months ago I wrote another character list detailing what I believed to be the most annoying characters in the Zelda series. This list is in exactly the same style, except we’re going with the most disturbing. A couple of characters were brought…
