Time and time again, Zelda fans prove they are some of the most passionate and creative followers on the planet. This animation project is no different.

Tumblr user Pencil Test creates art for dozens of video game franchises. Yet he’s never created a moving picture as gorgeous as this. The artist is working on an animated Zelda project in Maya, After Effects, and Photoshop. He’s combining actual photos with a Minish-sized hero of Hyrule. He says he’s working on a short film, but right now all we have are a few animated gifs.

Recently, a Tumblr artist know as “PencilTest” was discovered working on a Zelda-inspired fan-film.  The actual video cannot be viewed yet as it has not been published, but he has put out some animated GIFs of his Zelda work that have been created in Maya, After Effects, and Photoshop. A New York artist named Julius von Brunk, known for creating intricate, game-related LEGO creations, has recently built a back-lit mosaic of Link with the Triforce from The Legend of Zelda. All the humor of Ocarina of time, condensed into painfully true text messages! Having just recently played through Ocarina of Time 3DS this Tumblr really had me rolling. Artist Olly Moses has recently updated his tumblr showing off a couple movie posters for an imagined Legend of Zelda film.
