ZD Top – Zelda Trailers

Every Zelda fan likes to see that a new game is coming (hopefully) soon(ish), and when Nintendo plays their cards right, their trailers can be second-to-none in getting a fan-base hyped for a new installment of their beloved series. On this week’s ZD Top 5, we had our staff count down their five favorites. As usual, feel free to leave your own lists down below.

Nintendo has shown off an all-new gameplay trailer during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation showcasing a wide variety of interesting gameplay elements from A Link Between Worlds. New overworld areas can clearly be seen as well. Last week Nintendo accidentally released a trailer earlier than intended which showcased elements of the Hero mode in The Wind Waker HD. However, it also showed the new Zelda-themed GamePad from the then-unannounced Wii U bundle. GameTrailers has a demo video of Skyward Sword, showing actual gameplay and many new things we haven’t seen before, explaining it as they go. A lot of the details on things discussed are unclear; while they’ve confirmed a lot of things, how exactly they will play out remains to be seen.
