Insane In The Rain Music is a music enthusiast who loves to play piano and saxophone, and we’ve heard in the past just how enthusiastic he is. He may not be so insane in the rain as his YouTube channel name implies, but he really has a kind heart and passion for music.

To hear about his most recent Legend of Zelda cover for the “Summer of Covers” series and check it out, click on the jump!

Summer of Covers, a series of gaming music covers from Insane in the Rain Music attempting to raise $1000 for the Child’s Play charity, covered a fan favorite track from Link’s Awakening yesterday, “Ballad of the Windfish,” and Carlos Eiene, the guy who started the series, made some sweet jazz out of it. Eiene plays the tune on a saxophone and a piano, and it makes for a pretty great cover, so check it out!

“Grandma’s Theme” has always been one of my favorite songs from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It’s melancholy, it’s nostalgic, and it’s sweetly beautiful. For the final piece in Carlos Eiene’s Summer of CoversZelda week, we get a lovely piano rendition of “Grandma’s Theme” that gorgeously recaptures the feeling of Koji Kondo’s original piece.

“Grandma’s Theme” is the final cover in Summer of CoversZelda week. If you’ve enjoyed listening to these covers, please consider donating to Eiene’s cause to raise $1000 for Child’s Play Charity. It’s been a wonderful ride, but now that it’s over, it’s a little sad we won’t be getting a terrific daily Zelda cover. On the other hand, next week is Banjo-Kazooie, so put on your yellow pants, get those puzzle pieces together, and subscribe to Insane In the Rain Music to keep up.

If you’ve been enjoying Carlos Eiene’s Summer of CoversZelda week, you’re in for a wonderful treat this evening — Carlos Eiene of Insane In the Rain Music has just released what is perhaps the most impressive cover of the entire week. Perhaps in preparation for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD or perhaps simply because it’s an excellent song, Eiene has just released a beautiful cover of The Wind Waker‘s ‘Outset Island’ featuring a lovely saxophone arrangement.

The best part about this Summer of Covers is that it’s being done for charity. Eiene hopes to raise $1000 for Child’s Play Charity, but he can’t do it without your help. To help raise this money, please consider donating to Eiene’s cause, or if not, just subscribe to Insane In the Rain Music to keep up with the Summer of Covers on your own time!

Carlos Eiene of Insane In the Rain Music brings us another stunning cover for Summer of CoversZelda week: The Great Sea! Featuring Mkalchu on violin, this stunning cover of Wind Waker‘s oft-heard and oft-praised tune will leave any Zelda fan feeling like taking a trip to the sea. What’s more, the live feeling of the duet — the violin in particular — sounds absolutely lovely and makes me wish I could hear more.

This cover was released as part of Summer of CoversZelda week. To help Eiene reach his $1000 goal for Child’s Play Charity, please consider donating to the cause if you like what you hear. Otherwise, keep an eye out for tomorrow’s wonderful Zelda tune and be sure to check out Insane In the Rain Music if you’d like to hear more.

Yesterday we posted a cover of the Great Fairy’s theme, and today, the very same man brings us a cover of Ocarina of Time‘s “Lon Lon Ranch” for charity. This cover features an EWI — or Electronic Wind Instrument — much like yesterday’s electronic remix did. Give it a listen after the jump; it’s quite calming.

Summer of Covers is an effort started by Carlos Eiene of Insane in the Rain Music to raise $1000 for Child’s Play Charity, along with your help. The latest cover in the ongoing Legend of Zelda week is none other than the Great Fairy’s theme, heard inside the Great Fairy Fountain. It is perhaps better recognized as the song that plays on the File Select screen from every Zelda game since A Link to the Past, albeit without that gorgeous introduction. Though the Great Fairy’s theme is well known, I bet you’ve never heard it with a live electronic spin. Head past the jump to have a listen!

Man, this really takes me back… I’d love to relive the days playing Ocarina of Time way back when — so long as this never happens again.

In yet another musical release, Carlos Eiene of Insane in the Rain Music has released an excellent cover of Ocarina of Time‘s shop theme to YouTube with an even more enjoyable Latin vibe. Featuring 8BitBrigadier on the trumpet, this cover includes a saxophone, a jazzy piano, and the usual grooving rhythm.

This cover of ‘Shop Theme’ was released as part of Summer of CoversZelda week and can be heard after the jump.
