In the recently released Iwata Asks for The Wind Waker HD, the developers of the game revealed an interesting tidbit about how despite having developed a game themselves, solving puzzles as players was sometimes difficult. In the latest collection video, we look at even more Strategy Guides from the original Legend of Zelda. This is the fourth part in a series within the series, where I look at many of the strategy guides from the original game. Even after this video, I’ve only gotten through 8 of the Zelda guides from the original game and I have a lot more to go. What’s so great about these old guides is that many of them had…

In the latest collection video, we look at several more Strategy Guides from the original Legend of Zelda. This is the third part in a series within the series, where I look at many of the strategy guides from the original game. While it may seem strange nowadays, there were tons of guides released for the original Legend of Zelda in Japan, many of which had their own style and several of which had their own unique artwork. In this…

Prima Guides has been known for making some of the best game guides out there. In fact, they became the official print strategy guide for Nintendo back in 2007. Here in the United States, Prima Games has been the only publisher to release strategy guides for the Zelda series since Phantom Hourglass in 2007. The second guide is a bit more elaborate in which…

The guide only offers 79 actual guide pages and it is not a 100% complete guide. For example, the guide does not provide locations for all secret seashells, but rather, only the 20 that are needed. Additionally, only the first 32 pages of the guide are in color, with the…

I have added another Japanese guide from Link’s Awakening to the Strategy Guides section of the website. This guide was published by Futabasha, of which the DX version of the guide was recently uploaded a few weeks backs. This guide offers a whole new set of artwork for the game, which is quite different from any of the artwork found in the official Nintendo guide or the DX Futabasha guide. It has much more of an anime look to the…
