Another year, another batch of rumors that in all likelihood are false. I start it off like this not because we have any real reason to doubt The Hidden Triforce or their source, but just based on our own experience in reporting on E3 rumors about the Zelda series these past 7 years. I have learned a lot over the years about vetting sources, ensuring that any rumor that originates from our site is something we can put some real faith in. That being said, The Hidden Triforce has recently gotten some information that seems almost too good to be true…

The Zelda fan-base was collectively vexed when Nintendo made the announcement that Zelda Wii U would no longer be released in 2015 nor be shown at this year’s E3, but Nintendo may be applying a bandage to at least one of these sore wounds. Zelda publication The Hidden Triforce was tipped off by a GameStop employee who overheard his store’s Nintendo Representative spilling fact after fact about Zelda Wii U, and amassed a nice list of rumors. The game is…

Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has stated that the rumors regarding Netflix’ adaptation of The Legend of Zelda is based on inaccurate information. In a recent interview that Time Magazine had with the Nintendo executive he mentioned a variety of things including the news on Nintendo developing on handheld devices, the free-to-play market, the Amiibos and other toys and a big reveal: the rumors that started a month and a half ago on the website of the Wall Street Journal that…

With Ambassador Editions of the New Nintendo 3DS being shipped to select European Club Nintendo members and a Nintendo Direct planned for tomorrow, news surrounding Nintendo’s newest addition of the DS family is very popular. Rumors have been traversing the Internet surrounding the handheld, detailing possible release dates, special bundles, etc.

Today we got another entry into the long list of rumors surrounding the New Nintendo 3DS in the form of…

It’s getting closer and closer to E3 2014 and with a new Zelda game having been confirmed to be present at this year’s show, the inevitable flood of pre-E3 rumors has already been pouring out on the web. Here at Zelda Dungeon, we don’t like to give any life to these rumors and urge them to be taken with a huge grain of salt when we do. A lot of you may have already seen the leaked images of Link…

Some folks really want to believe anything that seems like

something they would like. I mean, why not? I could see an error on my online

course grade book that says I have an A, but reality is I may already know I

have too few points to achieve that A. I really want to believe I got that A,

but I know it’s just a mistake.

That’s what pre-E3 rumors always feel like. So much stuff we

desperately want to believe, but many of us know better. We know it can’t

possibly be true, but we want to believe it anyway. We’ll search for reasoning,

or even come up with excuses. I’m guilty of all of the above.

It would seem the pre-E3 hype is striking again, as rumors are running rampant. Today, Gamnesia posted about a supposed leak for Sony’s entire E3 Press Conference, and now we’re adding to that tidbit today with a supposed leak for the Zelda series. We’ve had 3 different sources talk to us privately, with one of them reportedly a former staff member at Nintendo Treehouse. More inside.

With the release dates of both A Link Between Worlds and The Wind Waker HD, fans of the Zelda series are becoming more and more excited about the possibility that a concrete announcement of the the next Zelda game for Wii U will be released to the public soon.  The anticipation of this announcement is so high, in fact, that one German gaming website decided to post a deliberately fake “leak” of information on Nintendo’s upcoming title, to find out…

Update: The information that was found just below has since been confirmed… sort of. They come from a German translator who works close with Eiji Aonuma. It was part of a document that was preparing Aonuma for E3 in just a few days. There is still some skepticism, from myself included, but the folks over at Zelda Informer where this originated are claiming 99.99% validity. According to the folks over at Zelda Informer, Eiji Aonuma’s first page at E3 has…

So here it is, guys, the last Curiosity Shop before E3! Next week’s going to be one hell of a party, expect some big things! Until then, I’ll try to keep you satiated with some discussion videos. The questions and their timestamps are: (00:30) – You said you wanted less dungeons, but what if the dungeons were done well? (01:15) – What do you think is the hardest game in the series? (02:18) – Do you think Midna will be…
