Hello readers! Brian here with the fifth installment of “The Best and Worst of Zelda.” This awesome topic was suggested by Christian, so much thanks to him! Remember to leave your ideas for next week in the comments below. The sidequest is an extremely important element to pull off in a Zelda game. Though by nature an unnecessary portion of the game, sidequests exist only to enhance the gameplay experience and absorb the player even further into the mind of…

In a series like Zelda, with so many foes of every variety — villains, bosses, and regular enemies — it’s no surprise that not all of them are that well fleshed-out. The vast majority of bosses are never elaborated upon, though even as early as A Link to the Past you had a boss with an actual backstory in Blind. The villains, while they often have plenty of story details to their name, can also tend to be very simplistic…

Welcome to another edition of Zelda Fanart Spotlight. Today we are looking at a digital illustration from brazilian artist KlausBoss. The Zelda games have often had a single dungeon ripe with scary elements, and Arbiter’s Grounds continues this trend but combines it with multiple other elements, particularly those of a desert dungeon. But how does it stack up to other dungeons in general, scary or otherwise? Arbiter’s Grounds…

I spent a portion of October reviewing them on my website, and before that I wrote an article similar to this one, counting town my top 10 Resident Evil monsters. With Zelda, choosing my favorites was harder because what defines a good monster…

Well hey there guys! Might be a day late, but it’s the usual day for the mailbag, so I’ve brought you a Halloween-themed mailbag for today! I feel like something strange is about to happen though… Well, anyway, this mailbag has 16 questions, about a bunch of spooky and or villain-related topics in the Zelda series. I also talk about Majora’s Mask a fair bit. Sorry if it’s a bit long, guys. Anyway, enjoy! You can watch the video here…

Happy Halloween! It’s that time of year again; children dress as goblins, ghouls or zombies, and go door to door requesting tricks or treats (but only ever get treats); and adults throw on the nearest article of rarely-worn clothing and make up some kind of costume for the party they’ll be attending. It’s also that time of year when we all consider things that we fear. In the spirit of the season, today we’ll be talking about fear in the…
