Hello everybody! This is another installment of Zelda Artist Exposition—the series where I feature a Zelda fan artist. The goal is to boost the recognition of their talents. Suggestions for features are always welcome; just leave a comment. The artist of the day is SeaboardBlue.

As they said in the Highlander, “There can be only one.” So what is that one? Hell if I know. I mean c’mon, we wouldn’t be doing these polls if we knew for certain. We know the answers to this poll will change as time goes on, new games are introduced, and our biases change, but for now let’s see where we are as a fanbase. Last time we had The Minish Cap face off against Oracle of Ages, and the former came out on top. This time around it’s the other part of the Oracle duo, Oracle of Seasons, to face off against the first entry in the DS Zelda games, Phantom Hourglass. Remember, don’t judge the game as a whole, only its soundtrack. Hop on in and vote!

Nintendo news collector NintenDaan has tweeted many details on Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, the first DS game to be released on Wii U Virtual Console in Japan. This could very well be an indication that Nintendo will announce more DS games on it at E3, including Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Hit the jump for several tweets with details on the game and how the console handles it.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, the old online multiplayer service that Nintendo used for the Wii and DS systems, has now officially been shut down. From now on, any Wii, DS or DSi online features will be unavailable, including those of Phantom Hourglass. Read more of the details after the jump.

Welcome back to another edition of Milk Bar Mornings! Today we will be looking at some music that is for once not in the actual games, but rather something that you could (with some practice) play at home. We will be looking at some of the tracks from the Zelda Series for Guitar book, a sheet music book containing, as the name suggests, various themes from the series. Now you might be wondering, “How could you possibly analyze those pieces?…

Who here hates Miniblins? I sure did in The Wind Waker. Truthfully, those annoying cretins gave me more trouble than Darknuts. I could dodge and weave all I wanted, but a horde of Miniblins could always land a blow. However annoying these creatures are, they still stand as a distinct trademark of the Adult timeline. Commemorating their wickedness, reddit user, bulletproofheart6, sculpted a complete clay model of a Miniblin. Hit the jump to view the carving!

The 6th matchup in the ZVS companion series is a DS-centric one, featuring companions from Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks: Princess Zelda and Linebeck. It’s the princess in her ghostly form against the comical coward sailor Linebeck. The winner is up to you! Head inside and vote!

The wait, it seems, may be over. Nintendo announced today that it plans to bring DS games to the Wii U’s Virtual Console. While no concrete details have been revealed, Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, explained that getting DS games, with their dual screen gameplay, on the Wii U GamePad has created a hurdle. Hit the jump to read more.

My previous patient was a lesser known character from The Wind Waker, Gossack, who had an inconclusive diagnosis. This week, by popular demand, I am going to take a look at a well known character who makes an appearance throughout many games in the Zelda series. His name is never given, and is on most occasions seen out and about, worrying about his task at hand. He is constantly running from place to place, but seems happy where he is….

Round One continues with our 4th matchup, pitting two of the most successful handheld editions of the Zelda franchise against each other in Link’s Awakening and Phantom Hourglass. The later game moved just shy of 5 million copies worldwide, making it the single most successful handheld Zelda game ever released. What placed second? The very first handheld Zelda game ever crafted, Link’s Awakening. Who advances? Will it be the game that proved handheld Zelda games are possible, or will it be the game that has arguably been the most popular handheld title to date? Head inside to vote!
