If you are not familiar, papercrafts are an increasingly popular craft on the web where one downloads and prints a set of foldable paper parts, cuts out, folds, and glues them all together, forming any number of hollow paper figures. Gamers often love to make papercrafts of their favorite characters and creatures, and YouTuber SuperRetroBro decided he wanted to make a timelapse of him building a papercraft of Hyrule Warriors’ Sheik. And boy did he succeed! Seeing the tall, detailed…

SuperRetroBro created an amazing farmer Link papercraft from Twilight Princess, and with great detail. He made an eight minute video showing how he made it with the end result being very impressive. This build required for him to be very precise and careful and the end result has shown that he definitely has the skills and is very talented in creating this.   Check out the video after the jump! A fan over at reddit has put together a papercraft creation of Link from Ocarina of Time, and it is awesome. The detail in the papercrafts concept image gives you an idea of how hard it would be to build, and this person did a great job. Check out the final product after the jump!

It’s not every day you see 2D become 3D. This fun little creation was found at the Vancouver Maker Faire held on June 1st and 2nd. This multi-city event is hosted by Make magazine to “celebrate arts, crafts, engineering, science projects and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset”. This particular Maker Fair at Vancouver is only considered a “Mini” Maker Faire. These “mini” Faires are more community based and international than the larger “Flagship” fairs. These larger ones are held at different…

Stunning Zelda papercrafts

You may be familiar with the art of papercraft, the process of creating detailed 3D models with nothing but sheets of paper. There have been instances in the past of talented individuals creating Zelda related papercrafts, but none perhaps have been as impressive and as realistic as Swedish artist minidelirium’s creations. Her Zelda related models range widely from the Happy Mask Salesman to Link’s Grandma’s house from The Wind Waker, but perhaps the highlight of the collection is a truly…

Ninjatoes has created a template for a life-sized model of the King of Red Lions and Josh Darrah has taken on a daunting and difficult task of constructing it using paper! It is very well made and it’s one of the best papercrafts I’ve seen. I can’t even imagine the time it must have taken to build this piece, or how much paper it must have used up. You can even attempt to build it yourself if you’re feeling adventurous….

Twili Midna Papercraft

February 19 2012 by Ally Paige

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had a few news posts featuring fan-made Legend of Zelda papercraft creations. The pieces vary in size, color, and character (or item, in some cases), and I think it’s a really cool form of art. Squeezycheesecake and Xenon with Nintendo Papercraft have done an exceptional job in constructing this 49cm (19.3 inch) tall paper version of Midna in her Twili form. Having no experience in the craft myself, I wouldn’t hesitate to believe that…
