For those unaware, there are a couple live streams going on this Friday that will be featuring Smash Bros. The first is from NicoNico in Japan. They will be streaming Super Smash Bros. for 3DS just before the game itself is available at retail. The second stream (and the one more relevant to us) will be hosted by Nintendo Treehouse. They are going to be streaming the Holiday lineup of games at 10AM PT this Friday. Among those games will be Smash Bros. What’s more, a Nintendo Rep during a GameStop conference confirmed that the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U release date will be revealed…

On today’s Nintendo Treehouse live stream, there were several rounds of Super Smash Bros. played, and we had a chance to see some new little details of Zelda features that are set to be in the game. These features include the Beetle, the Fairy Bottle, Midna’s assist trophy, and as a new reveal, Tingle’s return to the battlefield! Check out some screenshots and details after the jump.

UPDATE: We now have footage of playing as Midna! Midna is not playable on the show floor, so this video of the Nintendo Treehouse demo is the only place we’ll get to see our favorite Twilight Princess in action.

Nintendo Treehouse had what amounted to roughly an hour long session with the E3

Hyrule Warriors demo and we learned a lot of new details. The footage itself isn’t available online yet, but we’ll include a few looks at some off-screen stuff to give you a feel for the details we discovered. Head inside.

A recent Play Nintendo video has opened up speculation that Zelda Wii U might finally be revealed at E3 this year. The tongue-in-cheek announcement clip, featuring an android duplicate of Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime infiltrating one of Nintendo’s corporate headquarters (yes, you read that right), teases that a new game will be shown at the event. The Zelda music playing throughout the video could indicate that the top-secret project is related to Nintendo’s iconic fantasy adventure series. Hit…
