Now THIS is an odd sight to behold. Steam Greenlight, a system on Valve’s entertainment platform Steam, lets the gaming community help with the release of new games created by independent developers. Now, though other companies have sold games on Steam that previously released on Nintendo platforms, Nintendo has never made an effort to sell their games directly through Steam. This fact makes it all the more ridiculous to see Hyrule: Total War, a fan-made mod of Medieval 2: Total…

I don’t want to sound like a contender for the next presenter of Top Gear but some say it’s the best console ever. Some say it had some of the greatest games ever made. It’s the Nintendo 64 and while we all have our top 5 games for the system, it’s a pretty safe bet that either Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask or both would be in it. Whichever your preference, you can now get a custom N64 from Etsy…

Last year, Tom Banner Studios’ Medieval combat game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare was made a whole lot more interesting with the release of a fan-made Zelda mod called The Legend of Chivalry. The mod places players in a first-person, Zelda-esque dungeon complete with puzzles, secrets, and bosses. A few days ago, Hutts Gaming Channel on YouTube stepped into The Legend of Chivalry and explored the labyrinth for himself…

League of Legends has become extremely popular in the past few years and millions of people around the world play it everyday. As with any popular game, there are people out there that will find ways to mod the game. Luckily for us Zelda fans, someone has created a Link skin for League of Legends! The skin is for the champion Garen. It’s not only the skin that changes either; the attacks look different as well. Each of the Link’s…

For many years people have been modding games to make them look a little different to how they should, it seems no game is too difficult to mod. YouTube channel PC Best Mods has recently shown a mod for Ultra Street Fighter IV, which has made a match look like a brutal fight between Link and his doppelganger Dark Link. See the video after the jump!

While the release of the next Zelda game is nearly upon us (or upon Japan, at least), there are many who still have plenty of fun with what we’ve already got. Among the most interesting activities of nostalgic fans is altering the experience of game to make it more..unique through hacks. One of the most recent hacks puts a very unlikely Nintendo character into the role of the Hero of Time, creating quite the experience…

The full custom campaign includes Kakariko Village, Death Mountain, and the Fire Temple. There are items and infected that are re-textured to look like elements of Ocarina of Time, and there are even some custom features like rupees to use at the fully-functioning shop, and a boss fight with Volvagia in the Fire Temple! If any of you…
