The Zelda series is no stranger to the Minecraft universe. In fact, a simple Google search will return thousands of results correlating the two. However, one specific texture pack in a pre-built world uses a slightly deceiving Majora’s Mask themed logo and drops players into a near perfect recreation of Hyrule from Ocarina of Time.

SethBling, the Minecraft community’s popular redstone expert, has created a makeshift spin attack in Minecraft. It uses potions of harming and command blocks in a neat way, and used alongside some other Zelda-specific moves, it could make an interesting addition to something like a custom map. A Minecraft map-maker named Kezsonaj is on the way to creating a full-scale remake of Ocarina of Time‘s world. Everything is set to be recreated – Hyrule Castle, Kakariko Village, all of the dungeons – every single area and structure that you can freely enter, and more. Talk about putting in work and drawing inspiration. Kezsonaj is a level 50 Grandmaster Crafter at Planet Minecraft, and it’s no wonder why he is. Previously we posted his recreation of Ocarina of Time, but that is but a footnote to his grand scheme. He is actually looking to make an entire planet featuring the worlds of Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess, The Wind Waker, and Ocarina of Time. In fact, he hopes to turn it into a MMO style world. He’s been hard at work on this for just over a year, and needless to say his results are stellar so far. He has recreated several aspects of these worlds in fine Minecraft detail. The creator of Minecraft, Markus Persson, or “Notch” as he much more well known had a bit to say about A Link Between Worlds. Of course, as a video game developer Notch plays all kinds of video games, but rarely seems to talk about all the different kinds that he enjoys. The folks down at farfromsubtle have recently been working on a new Minecraft creation. They’ve released videos of the creation processes of BioShock Infinite, Springfield, the Duff Brewery and Krusty Studios from The Simpsons and Moomin Village, and now they have released footage of their Sky Build. HyruleCraft is one of the biggest Zelda recreations to date for the popular game from Mojang, Minecraft. It is a project to rebuild the entire Zelda world to scale from Ocarina of Time.
