What seems to be a pretty clear Zelda reference can be found in the newest Castlevania game, Lords of Shadow. The screenshot below mentions a Great “Dekuh” which was “the most gorgeous tree in the forest” and its “magical power protected the forest from the attacks of dark creatures”.
