YouTube user InstrumentManiac- otherwise known as Luke Pickman- is no stranger to music. With a talent to play a wide variety of instruments, one of his hobbies is creating different covers and original music videos and posting them on YouTube. Beyond the jump is one of his more simple videos, a sextet flute rendition of Lon Lon Ranch!

As all of you can imagine we absolutely love things that are inspired by our cherished The Legend of Zelda, and this fantastic tutorial video is no exception. In a DIY video we found, YouTuber KesCap Fourfun teaches us how to make Lon Lon Ranch Milk bottle jar candles. There are so many iterations of Lon Lon Ranch Milk items that various crafters have made around the internet, and this one on particular I think is pretty great! I must say, I…

Welcome all to Zelda Artist Expositions—my series of features where I showcase an artist I have found that I think is amazing or deserves more credit. As always comments are welcomed and appreciated, and if you have an artist you think should be featured, let me know and I will add him or her to my list. And of course, please be supportive. Today we have a very unique artist. Our feature is theonlybriman47, suggested by staff member Jessica.

Medleys seem to be the most popular way to cover Zelda music, and I’ve often wondered why that is. I suppose it would be rather disappointing to listen to music in 30-45 seconds chunks, and considering a lot of Zelda music is designed to loop after a short period of time, single pieces that lasted 2 minutes could get boring. Either way, hit the jump to listen to a fantastic piano and violin medley!

Hello dear readers! I’m back this week to discuss another few unwinding areas several of you had mentioned in the comments back in Part I. The areas chosen this week are: Zora’s Domain, Skyloft, The Lumpy Pumpkin, and Lon Lon Ranch. Aside from the numerous temples and mini games throughout the Zelda series, it is also commonly  known for it’s many distinct locations set across Hyrule. Some of which are considerably relaxing and great places to unwind when taking a…

This new/modified editorial series is an evolution of sorts of Favorite Zelda Moments, where, instead of simply discussing my favorite moments and talking about why I like them so much, I’m going to examine notable moments in the series in general — whether I’m personally fond of them or not — and give my thoughts on them. I’d like to start off with something I’ve talked about a bit before, which is Epona in Ocarina of Time. And, you know,…

Here it is, my final analysis of Ocarina of Time characters before I move on to characters from Majora’s Mask. A small compilation of some of the more significant side-characters, each individual analysis will look at a single aspect of each character/s, and explore the possible causes for each aspect. So without further ado, let’s get straight into it!

Hello Zelda Dungeoners, and welcome to another weekly dose of Flute Boy’s Meadow! This week, I felt compelled to cover a song that’s different; something unique, something that worked well with all the excitement of E3. Unfortunately most of my ideas stunk. Then it occurred to me; nobody is going to need help getting excited this week with all the great game announcements, so why not shoot for something more on the quiet side so people can take a break…

The incredible team at The Zelda Project have very recently updated their website with a photo-shoot of Lon Lon Ranch, and it is absolutely amazing. I don’t know about you all, but I’ve always felt that, even in Ocarina of Time 3D Lon Lon Ranch and Malon have looked a bit peculiar, but The Zelda Project changes all that. Hit the jump to see the photos!

Throughout the Zelda titles, there are a select few supporting characters that stand out to me as particularly strong. I’m not talking about major characters like Zelda, Midna, or Marin, who I would consider main characters, but the denizens who populate the surrounding areas of Zelda games. Malon and Talon are certainly standouts. They’re integrated well into gameplay, as they’re introduced in the main quest, but several subsequent in-game quests allow their characters to develop further. Win Epona from Ingo…
