Last week Djinn wrote about how the state of music in the Zelda series has changed over the many years since its inception, and near the end of the article he spoke briefly of how recently the quality of Zelda music has drastically increased with the orchestrated soundtrack of Skyward Sword. And let me tell you, when I first played Skyward Sword that was the impression I got too: It’s so much higher quality. It would be a mistake in…

A while back we let you all know about violinist Lindsey Stirling’s Zelda Medley. The medley was one of the most beautiful Zelda covers that I had heard and had an incredible video to match the quality of the song. Going as far as dressing as Link and dancing around in the snow all while playing the song, she proved her love for the Zelda series and provided us with one of the best Zelda medleys recorded by a fan….

Zelda covers come and go and can be found all across the internet, but when I come across a live performance of a Zelda song by a fan, it just gets my heart pumping in excitement. YouTube user TheWalkingMelons has uploaded a video of a performance she was in with two of her friends performing “Hyrule Field” from Ocarina of Time at Corona Del Sol (CDS) High school. With a viola, a violin, and a trombone they almost perfectly recreate…

Well, I’ll be at it again tonight, and we’ll be taking on the next portion of Twilight Princess. Miss last night? Catch up by watching the recorded video from Monday’s stream on our Twitch.tv page. I closed last night’s gameplay with claiming the master sword, and tonight I’ll be playing for a few hours, answering questions in chat, and overall having a great time. If you ever wanted to ask me a question, I’ll be doing an extended question/answer segment…

Some of you may already know that Zelda Dungeon now has a channel on the video streaming site Twitch.tv.  Just recently I have been streaming a playthrough of Twilight Princess, and tonight I will be continuing.  Be sure to subscribe to our channel on Twitch.tv so you can be emailed when we go live.  Last time I started with the Goron Mines, one of my favorite dungeons in the game, and wrapped up with picking up the Zora Armor.  Tonight…

Our friends over at Zelda World are currently running a marathon for winter. If you want to watch them complete with a chatroom, check them out. They started yesterday, and have been live for an impressive 24 hours already. Since the stream has been going for a while, it will likely conclude soon, but there’s still more good viewing left. I will possibly appear as an audio guest sometime in the remaining period of streaming. Skermefaten, Dodongobomber, and Falcool have…

Our friends over at Zelda Eternity will be doing a live stream of Majora’s Mask today, starting at 6pm US Eastern Time. This is not going to be an ordinary stream as Mike, the webmaster of Zelda Eternity, will try to complete the 3-Day Challenge! What this means is that, after the beginning sequence of the game where Link recovers the Ocarina of Time and reverts back to his Hylian form, Mike will try to beat the entire game in…

Our good friends over at Hyrule.net have relaunched the Hyrule.net Radio. The station plays Zelda songs all day long with a mixture of classic tunes, orchestrations, and a whole bunch of fan remixes and renditions. There really is quite the variety of music that appears on the station and it is constantly cycling through new Zelda songs. In order to listen, all you need is a music program such as iTunes. Just head on over to the Hyrule.net Radio page…
