This weeks Cosplay feature is by the lovely folks at The Zelda Project, and it’s a tiny bit different to the normal Cosplays we see. This week I’ll be showing you guys a gorgeous Cosplay of Saria… By a young girl!

“Hey!” “Watch out!” Fans of Ocarina of Time likely read the first three words of this article in Navi’s voice. Navi aids Link in his quest to fight Ganondorf, but at the end of Ocarina of Time, the fairy mysteriously leaves Link behind. I wanted to delve into what I consider the underlying reason Link went after Navi…

It’s been a while since the release of Nintendo’s first 3D Zelda remake. Physical copies are getting harder and harder to find, so most fans download the game directly to their console now. There is a newly discovered rumor as to why this is is the case.

Romance may not be the number one thing some fans focus on in The Legend of Zelda series, but there are plenty out there that really do pay attention to it. That said, I decided to run through every game and see just how often Link actually does (or at least conceivably could) get the girl. Keep in the mind, the girl doesn’t always have to be Zelda, either…

Yesterday, Youtuber, video-game music artist, and songwriter Brent “brentalfloss” Black released a very important entry in his “with lyrics” youtube series in which he creates lyrics to the most memorable of video game tunes.  The object of his ire was none other than the legendary, often-beloved Ocarina of Time, for which he points out the flaws that make it an unworthy Zelda title to him.  Joined by fellow video-game music artist and a cappella singer, Dave Bulmer, Brent sings us through the classic argument…

In the years since Ocarina of Time’s release, we have been continually learning new things about it. From glitches and shortcuts to developer stories, the information and knowledge surrounding this classic game is ever-growing. Even a few months ago, a full 15 years after this game’s release, yet another new glitch was found. Today, though, we will be focusing on distant past. Thanks to imgur user wonderboyblue we can go back to a time when Ocarina of Time had yet to be fully realized…

Ocarina of Time was revolutionary in its own right as the first 3D Zelda and pioneering a video gaming style which would later be recreated in series such as Okami and Starfox. Another revolutionary point which current developers could perhaps still learn from is the plethora of strong, balanced female characters. Initially I wanted to write about the Gerudo tribe, and perhaps focus on their status as an all-female society. As I thought more and more about the direction this would take, I realised that despite the Gerudos’ status as a literal warrior race, the other females featured in Ocarina of Time are no strangers to courage, strength, and conflict, and it would be unfair to exclude them from an article as such. Seeing these women as developed characters and often excellent role models is amazing for a game released in 1998, when the gaming industry still seems to struggle sometimes with exactly that, today in 2015.

While the release of the next Zelda game is nearly upon us (or upon Japan, at least), there are many who still have plenty of fun with what we’ve already got. Among the most interesting activities of nostalgic fans is altering the experience of game to make it more..unique through hacks. One of the most recent hacks puts a very unlikely Nintendo character into the role of the Hero of Time, creating quite the experience…

Welcome back to our Wednesday Weekly Feature: Zelda Fan of the Week! For those unaware, we take one fan (or a group of them) each week and feature some various things. This could be comics, art, music, or even cosplay… so long as it pertains to The Legend of Zelda. This week, we take a trip into the musical realm of the fanbase with Caroline Soucy, otherwise known simply as Caro.

Caro is an experienced musician and has been a dedicated

Zelda and ocarina fan since she first experienced Ocarina of Time. A creator of…

The Zelda series is no stranger to the Minecraft universe. In fact, a simple Google search will return thousands of results correlating the two. However, one specific texture pack in a pre-built world uses a slightly deceiving Majora’s Mask themed logo and drops players into a near perfect recreation of Hyrule from Ocarina of Time.
