Courage. It is the defining ability of the Hero. It is what we seek as we quest to save the world. In most Zelda titles, the only person who possesses any kind of courage is our hero Link. Most of the citizens of Hyrule are shown as cowards, shirking responsibility for the comfort of ignorance. But there are a few characters whose courage shines as bright as the sun they were born under. One such being is Ilia, a gentle…

Hello everyone! It’s Monday again. You know what that means, right? We are going to play Caption Contest because it’s a really great game. Wow, I’m sorry. My daughter has become obsessed with “Blue’s Clues” and I can’t get it out of my head, so let’s just forget that ever happened. Anyway,

last weekGhirahim graced us with his unmatched “beauty” and you all came up with some really great responses. After you’ve gotten a good laugh, find some inspiration for the image at the bottom of the page that is funny without caption. I stumbled across this gem…

Things are about to get real here on Fan Fiction Friday. Since we started this series, we have had fans submit some epic adventures and even one that just wanted to make us laugh. Last week, we featured a full story titled “The Doppelganger Trilogy”. This week we are looking at another story written and submitted by one of our fans. This story is set in Ordon Village, before the events of Twilight Princess. A young Ilia awaits the arrival of her younger sibling with her father, Bo. “Tattered Teddy” by OrdonianHero is not for the faint of heart…

Welcome everyone again to Zelda Artist Exposition. This feature series is dedicated to Zelda fan artwork—the purpose being to spread the joy of art and showcase artists worthy of more recognition. I am always open to suggestions so if any of you readers have an idea of an artist to feature, leave a comment telling me about them. I hope I can get to them eventually. Keeping with the Twilight Princess motif from the last exposition, today’s feature is StellaB.

Valentine’s Day is upon us, and of course, we have an accompanying Zelda comic. This comic features both The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess characters in a short, but funny scene. Though we see Ilia and Toon Link pictured here, Twilight Princess Link and Toon Zelda come in to make things a little more interesting. The result is a hilarious twist in which one Link comes out a bit happier and with fewer injuries. Can you guess what is going to happen? Perhaps if you’ve played Twilight…

Say what you will about Twilight Princess. Complain about its dungeons, its opening two hours, its art style, whatever you want. But do not complain about this game’s music. As part of my play-through of every Zelda game in a year, I finally got around to starting the GameCube version of Twilight Princess last night. As I slogged through the endless opening sequences of the game, one thing kept me from ever skipping a cutscene or complaining about fishing with…

For a game that I complain about not being whimsical enough, Twilight Princess still manages to have the funniest moment of the entire series for me. This is the one scene that makes me laugh more than anything else in Zelda: The moment when the Hyrule Castle Town soldiers duck out of helping Ilia and Ralis get to Kakariko Village. At this point in the game, the player would be trying to get into the Lakebed Temple, and this mission…
