During today’s official reveal of Hyrule Warriors Legends at the Nintendo E3 Digital Event today, it would seem a piece of news regarding the latest Hyrule Warriors DLC was dully noted. In honor of Nintendo’s big reveal, Nintendo had just recently released a Hrule Warriors Wii U update that now allows fans yet another DLC costume. This time around the costume is a throwback to Link’s Classic Tunic from the original Legend of Zelda. Source: My Nintendo News

Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3, a game that is slated to arrive to the 3DS on June 30th, has DLC content with allows you to use Link and Zelda-inspired costumes from Hyrule Warriors. There is a catch however, as these costumes will only be available in Japan, as revealed by Koei Tecmo, the company that co-produced Hyrule Warriors with Nintendo.

The costumes can be unlocked in the full game (in Japan) by playing its demo on the 3DS eShop. Unfortunately, if you have…

Nintendo will probably integrate amiibo into some part of Zelda U’s gameplay, but we shouldn’t worry. While I count myself among those opposed to amiibo integration in Zelda U, a look at Zelda‘s history has convinced me we have nothing to fear.

Amiibo support in Zelda U won’t be a microtransaction scheme straight out of the Candy Crush Saga playbook, nor will we see major features like riding Epona or accessing dungeons restricted without player purchase of specific amiibo figures. In fact, amiibo integration in Zelda U will probably be much more familiar than many of us realize…

Earlier this week we shared with you some of Masahiro Sakurai’s thoughts on DLC in relation to Super Smash Bros., these thoughts came from his most recent column in Famitsu. Now Source Gaming has provided a completed translation of Sakurai’s latest column. The translation really helps to give us a better idea of where Sakurai is coming from with the upcoming DLC as well as his personal thoughts on what he  calls the “DLC scam” and how the gaming industry in general…

Most of us may not have a Japanese Nintendo 3DS, but that doesn’t mean we can’t drool over the new Zelda pins available in the Badge Center app on the 3DS eShop! This latest set is packed full of characters, enemies, items, and terrain from the original Legend of Zelda on NES…

It’s been a few weeks since Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate‘s Zelda-themed DLC was released. That was a day of rejoicing for Zelda fans, as a Link costume is included in the DLC pack.

If your character in Monster Hunter 4 Unlimited is female, putting on the Link armor will make you look…

Hyrule Warriors has been steadily churning out DLC packs since the game released. These packs include a number of different features, such as new Adventure Mode maps, new game modes, and new costumes. In fact, every single DLC pack has had some form of new costumes added to the game. Some of these costumes are simple color swaps, while others are more elaborate (such as Lana’s Skull Kid costume)…

Update: Now Live!

Koei Tecmo has announced on the official Hyrule Warriors website that a new DLC pack, the Boss pack, will be coming to the game on March 12th, a little over three weeks from now. This new DLC pack will include two brand-new games modes, known as “Boss Challenge” and “Ganon’s Fury”, and will unlock new costumes for various characters. The Boss Pack is set at a price point of $2.99, much lower than the other Hyrule Warriors DLC packs, which have been sold at $7.99 a piece.

This is the fourth DLC pack to come to the game since its release last year, after…

If you’re a Legend of Zelda or Monster Hunter fan (or perhaps both), then you will want to get your hands on the latest DLC for Capcom’s Monster Hunter 4 that includes none other than a Link costume, and it looks fantastic. The latest trailer shows the in-game character looking very much the part as the Hero of Time, wielding the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, Goddess Bow and more! Hit the jump to see the trailer.
