Just a few days ago, we shared with you some gameplay footage for the upcoming Hyrule Warriors Legends. The footage featured producer, Yosuke Hayashi and voice actress, Ruriko Aoki. During that video the pair took you through quite a bit of gameplay footage. Now Koei Tecmo has released a Part 2 of the video in which the pair make a second appearance and continue to take you through even more gameplay. During the course of the video they are mainly…

We have reached week ten of the caption contest!

Last week, we featured an image of Groose giving Link the “what’s what”. I honestly thought there would be a bigger response, but those of you who did left some great content. However nobody caught the reference I made. Either I’m getting old or “Kung Pow” truly is a diamond in the rough. Seriously, if you like over the top silly movies, I highly suggest it. This week, we’re featuring Lana from Hyrule Warriors getting chased by the greatest foe the series have ever seen, the dreaded Cucco. You know how this goes. Leave your captions…

It was revealed a few days ago that a playable giant Cucco could be unlocked in Hyrule Warriors via the Boss Pack. True to previous patterns, various fans are uploading footage of this monstrous beast in action, trampling over 5,000 enemies and crushing bosses like they were nothing.

The videos above were recorded on a Japanese copy of the game. Japan always seems to tease us with upcoming content that we in the West don’t have yet…

The Cucco is one of the most lethal enemies in the Zelda series. While initially docile and not afraid of people, picking them will spook them and have them run away. If you attack them, and heavens forbid that you do, you can expect Link to die a very painful and fluttery poultry-induced death if you don’t escape quickly. All the way from A Link to the Past to Hyrule Warriors these feathered fiends have been Link’s allies, obstacles and…

It’s been known for a while that Ganon will be playable in the newest DLC for Hyrule Warriors, the Boss Pack. Little did we know there would be a second new character! Luckily, YouTube user moccos-tan Isedelica has uploaded footage of this new playable character in action.

Any guesses on who it is? No, unfortunately it is not Skull Kid. It is, in fact, a giant Cucco. That’s right, you can now trample through enemies like no tomorrow with a monstrous Cucco…

“Don’t be such a Cucco!” You’d probably be offended to be accused of acting like a Cucco, wouldn’t you? But perhaps you shouldn’t be. Cucco are incredibly strong creatures that are loyal and protect their own from harm; these are endearing qualities, so why the negative connotation on the name? Well, aside from the Cucco being the Zelda form of a chicken, and the phrase “Don’t be such a chicken!” being an insult in reality, Cucco can be seen as…

Welcome to Piece of Heart, where we look at The Legend of Zelda series through the eyes of a literary professor and examine how the literary elements found in the games enhance the overall experience. Literature is a beating heart that pumps its influence into even the furthest reaches of this celestial body, and each literary example that exists in The Legend of Zelda is a piece of that heart. Every two weeks we’ll cover a different chapter of Thomas…

Good morning and welcome back to the Caption Contest!

Last week, you all came up with some great bits for “Spider-Fi” and I asked you to get creative with your best captions for Midna. Your submissions must have garnered a lot of laughs as every winner today got at least twenty likes from other fans. This Friday, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is getting released in the US. In celebration of the big release, we’re going to caption an image from the game featuring Toon Link and a Cucco.

The infamous Cuccos have returned to wreak havoc upon those who step in their path, and Nintendo’s newest trailer reveals their abilities and agenda within Hyrule Warriors. Check out the trailer after the jump!
