I don’t know about you, but I listen to a lot of musical video game covers. Sometimes, I struggle to find covers that will help me relax, but today I found a somewhat jazzy cover of the Great Fairy’s Fountain Theme that is sure to help you chill.

This particular cover was produced by a YouTuber by the name of Mewmore, who has also uploaded a sub-pop indie cover of Zelda’s Lullaby that focuses on synthesizers. I highly suggest listening to both, as each are very well done…

If you’re a fan of one of the most popular bands of all time, The Beatles, or have heard one of of their more popular songs, “Eleanor Rigby,” then you’re in for a treat. A cover of “Eleanor Rigby” has surfaced on YouTube, but it has been produced to sound like it came right out of A Link to the Past.

I could not believe my eyes when I saw the title of the video: The Beatles and Zelda? That’s a combination that I’m sure I’ve never thought of, but here it is: an astonishing crossover between a song and a video game…

The Great Fairy’s Fountain theme has been a part of the Zelda series since 1991, and Zelda fans have been covering the song with all sorts of instruments ever since. One very impressive cover was recently done by professional Harpist, Amy Turk. She fell in love with the Zelda series during her teenage years and has since transcribed a number of Ocarina of Time songs for the harp. Her solo arrangement of the Great Fairy’s Fountain was nearly ten years…

For the second time this week, a marimba-based cover of a classic Zelda tune has captured our hearts with its creative take on a beloved theme. Musical group, Mart0zz just released a cover of “Dragon Roost Island” from The Wind Waker using a marimba, guitar, woodblock, shaker, castanets, bass guitar, and clapping. These all work in beautiful harmony and create a magnificent balance that leaves a nice hum in your ears. The band has created a number of…

It is a great pleasure to see that such classic, popular series songs like this are good enough to still produce great covers. Check out the full cover after the jump!

“Midna’s Lament” is one of the Zelda series’ most emotionally powerful tunes. While we traditionally hear the song performed with piano and strings, fans occasionally find creative ways to cover the tune with other instruments. One such cover was recently released by YouTube musicians, New Game Plus, who fantastically performed “Midna’s Lament” with an acoustic guitar and a marimba…

YouTuber Tsuko G., known for his KAZOO’d series of game music covers played on kazoo, has once aain return to Zelda music, this time choosing Tal Tal Heights’ theme from Link’s Awakening. The upbeat nature of the original tune gives you the obvious adventurous feeling that the game location was meant to have, but hearing this theme, or any music really, played on kazoo just brings out something really hilarious in this classic background tune. Check out the video after…

YouTube musicians, The Team Players, have blown us away more than a few times already with their amazing guitar compositions. Earlier this week, the duo brought joy to our ears yet again with a beautiful acoustic rendition of Outset Island’s theme from The Wind Waker. The tune fits right at home in the musicians’ talented fingers, as the guitars perfectly compliment the song’s soothing, laid-back sound…

“Midna’s Lament” is one of the most emotional themes to enhance a profound character’s backstory, with its driving solo piano line to accompany Midna’s desperation. Kyle Landry, one of YouTube’s finest pianists, covers this powerful song and it is definitely worth watching. Hit the jump to take a look!

Love it or hate it, Skyward Sword did well in bringing the narrative aspects of the Zelda series to new levels. Between its placement as an origin story of sorts and the personal nature of the quest to rescue Zelda, the title’s plot did well to show some of the potential the series’ ongoing story has for expansion. Interestingly enough, one of the most fascinating characters introduced in this entry, the spirit of the Master Sword, Fi, seems to have failed to stand out as a companion…
