Continuing on with all of the special attention being paid to Hyrule Warriors Legends this week, Koei Tecmo has just released a new trailer. Unlike many of the other trailers that have previously been released, this one is not focused on just one character but many different characters, and its over five minutes long! Showing off some pretty sweet skills from the roster of playable characters both good and evil, to clips of some of the areas found across the…

Zone Watts over at The Zone Game has published an article about customization in the world of Zelda. It is rather obvious that while Nintendo wishes to immerse players in each new iteration of Hyrule, they don’t seem to like changing their main character. Link is sort of overdue for customization, considering how much Nintendo talks about making their fans feel like they themselves are a part of the game. Zone discusses this problem, and addresses how we should be…

Zelda’s start was a far cry from the NPC filled worlds that we have come to love. You start out in the middle of a field full of enemies and a quest before you. You stumble across a few people along the way, but most of your journey is spent traversing dungeons. Fast forward to today and now the lands are filled with NPC’s that are mostly there for filler. Apart from the staple characters like Link, Zelda, the antagonist,…

The Legend of Zelda: nearly 30 years of action, adventure, puzzles, mysteries, romance…wait, romance? But while the internet forever debates whether or not Link has the hots for Ilia or Midna, there are a few cannon couples in the franchise that always seem to bring a smile to our faces. These people help…

Many people who have never played a Zelda game are confused about the name of the protagonist. It is true that it would have made more sense for Link’s name to be included in the title, however, Zelda has to be a pretty important character to have the game named after her, even though she is only seen less than half of the time in most of the games. Unfortunately, Zelda is rarely recognized as the brilliant, beautiful, complex character…

Later this year, Nintendo’s all-star heroes and villains will assemble once more to duke it out in new Super Smash Bros. games for the Wii U and 3DS. An impressive line-up of characters has already been confirmed for both titles, including three Zelda mainstays: Link, Princess Zelda and the always adorable Toon Link. With plenty of time left for Nintendo to unveil more challengers, it isn’t unreasonable to expect Princess Zelda’s alter-ego, Shiek, or Link’s nemesis, Ganondorf, to return as…

Hyrule’s famous princess will be rejoining the cast of Super Smash Bros. for the flagship fighting series’ fourth entry. Princess Zelda will fight alongside Link and his young cel-shaded counterpart Toon Link in both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game. More after the jump.

Majora’s Mask was odd in a number of ways, especially when it came to its surreal moments and dreamlike cutscenes. It’s odd, then, that one of the most unusual moments that really stands out from the rest of the game is one where the player simply controls another character, and for only a few minutes! This of course was at the end of the Anju & Kafei sidequest — a massive portion of the game which I’ll probably talk about…
