Well April Fool’s day has come and gone and with it, Reggie Fils-Aime has departed from us, hoping to refocus his efforts on future Nintendo marketing plans. Reggie Informer day was something myself and a couple former staff members cooked up many years ago but we just never had the ability to pull it off in a way that felt just right.

For years we’ve gone the easy route – creating fake, somewhat believable, stories. Fans ate them up, thousands believed them, and it’s hilarious watching those stories go viral. Still, we always felt that you deserved better. That we could do better. As we approach ZI’s 8^th birthday (seriously, we’ve been at this 8 years!) we wanted to finally take an old idea and make it a reality.
