Just the other day we learned about Symphonic Legends London, an orchestral concert featuring some of the best music of the Legend of Zelda series. One of the fans’ biggest disappointments of Symphony of the Goddesses was the inability to buy a physical CD to listen to the music once the concert tour was over, and unfortunately, it looks like the same fate may fall upon Symphonic Legends London.

During an exclusive interview with the makers of Symphonic Legends London, we asked about the possibility of a recorded release. Executive Producer Thomas Böcker had this to say:

“The decision is not ours—Nintendo has the ultimate say on such topics. There is no question that we would have loved to release our Nintendo tribute on CD, and we would be the first to welcome plans for a recording of Symphonic Legends London in its Zelda edition. It hardly can get better for a video game music concert than having 220+ world-class musicians performing music of The Legend of Zelda in arrangements by Jonne Valtonen and Roger Wanamo. As usual, we will try—but as usual, I cannot promise anything. Experiencing this concert live is the better idea anyway. There is nothing like hearing such a performance in a classical venue together with like-minded people!” — Thomas Böcker

You’ve got to give them credit for trying! Given that this concert will feature all-new arrangements never before heard, that gives all of us fans all the more reason to head over to London this summer and attend the concert in person! And Böcker is very right that nothing can beat the experience of listening to the performance with other Zelda lovers. But nonetheless, we can still cross our fingers that Nintendo will listen to the fans.

Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for the rest of our exclusive interview!
