Surf the World with this Newfound Breath of the Wild Glitch!
Posted on July 15 2019 by John Piland
It has been over two years since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s release, and yet, players are still managing to find new glitches. This most recent glitch was recently showcased by none other than the famous YouTube channel GameXplain and brings about a new way to surf Hyrule in style — literally.
Using the name “glider surfing”, this glitch allows player to glide endlessly across Hyrule, so long as they do not take damage, hit water, or touch the ground without the glider. The Catch 22 to this, however, is that the “moonjump” glitch — which was discovered last week — must be active for this to work. Depending on how long one may wish to surf, the player will need to have adequate stamina and potions, as the gilding still drains energy.
This glitch is sure to bring about new records for the Bird-Man Research minigame, as Jon demonstrated in the video. Players will also be able to scale mountains that don’t have too steep an incline, as indicated by Jon.
What are your thoughts on this new discovery? Are you excited to try it out and challenge the game? Will you take the task to break records in the Bird-Man minigame? Let us know in the comments below!
John has been a Zelda fan for over 10 years now and is proud to say the series has had a major impact on his life (and wallet). After years of going to Zelda Dungeon for guides or the latest news on the series, John achieved their dream when they joined the writing team in 2019; John can hardly believe how long it’s been. A librarian, he loves meticulously arranging his library of Zelda games and collectibles. After what felt like an eternity of waiting for Tears of the Kingdom, John looks forward to the future of the Zelda franchise with enthusiasm, whether that’s the upcoming movie, a new spin-off/remake, or the next big game.
