What makes the fighting game genre so exciting? Is it the fast paced combat keeping you uncontrollably involved as you watch for the subtle signs of an opponents next move? Is it the flashy attacks bursting on the screen giving you a short burst of accomplishment as you engulf your opponent in a flaming Falcon Punch? Maybe the thing that really gets your blood churning is the music. When you hear that beat drop and a driving force of instrumental accompaniment pulses against your eardrums, you can’t help but feel the need to smash harder and hear the victory fanfare for your outstanding feat. Maybe it’s just me, but that has been one of the things that makes the Super Smash Bros. series so compelling. The music instills a sense of power while sending you into a fit of nostalgia and urging you to beat your enemy senseless. That being said, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has upped the ante even further by upgrading arguably the most important song in the game, the Main Menu.
Check out the video above to listen to the song for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments below. Does it get you pumped for some
