After what we believed was a very jam-packed 40 minutes full of Nintendo goodness, a special demonstration with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai followed today’s Direct event. During the presentation, Sakurai revealed everything there is to know about the recently released fighter Banjo-Kazooie. On top of this, the director revealed that, at the same time as Banjo’s release, update version 5.0 for Ultimate would be released as well.

Update version 5.0 will include the return of Home Run Contest and a new feature for the Mii Fighter Move Customization mode. For Home Run Contest (the final new mode according to the director), Sakurai says this version of the minigame will be powered up in various ways compared to the previous versions. As for the Mii Fighter Customisation mode, you will now be able to edit the move sets of the Mii Fighters you download from the Shared Content section.

Sakurai also unveiled the next batch of Mii costumes, which will be released later today as well. This includes Goemon from Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Proto Man & Zero from the Mega Man and Mega Man X series respectively, Team Rocket outfits from Pokémon, and Sans from Undertale (which will include the “Sans Theme” with the costume). All of these costumes will cost $0.75 USD each.
