“I’m 100% a fairy.”

This is what America’s Got Talent (AGT) contestant and social media star Freckled Zelda, aka Rachael Wilson, said when asked by judges whether she would continue to perform in her fairy-inspired attire after finishing her stunning singing audition.

“Fairy for the rest of my life,” she added.

A famous internet celebrity on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, Freckled Zelda posts cosplays and performs music in her fairy persona to an entranced worldwide viewership. Her videos often center around vibrant and energetic ocarina solos, and her style is fun, comedic, and whimsical. On the upcoming 9th episode of AGT‘s 17th season, Freckled Zelda will make her official debut to an even wider audience during prime time on the American broadcast television network NBC.

Ahead of airing the full episode (scheduled for July 26th, 2022, at 8pm EST at the time of writing), AGT uploaded an “Early Release” preview to their YouTube channel. The video highlights Freckled Zelda as she takes the stage, wowing the excited audience and skeptical judges alike.

During her spellbinding performance of “Colors of the Wind,” from the 1995 Disney film Pocahontas, Freckled Zelda sports a pair of shining gold Triforces. The emblems are twisted into her hair with a blue very reminiscent of the Champion’s Tunic from Breath of the Wild. She also wears a beautiful ocarina around her neck, though she also uses the term “sweet potato flute” when she references it during her AGT audition. Fans of the social media star will notice iconic strawberry pendants dangling from her tresses as well.

We’ve previously covered Freckled Zelda’s musical prowess back when she guest-starred in Songbird Ocarina’s Skyward Sword Medley earlier this year. Freckled Zelda is in the mesmerizing habit of showing off different ocarinas in her online performances, from classic Ocarina of Time-style reproductions to Poké balls. Many of her videos feature ocarinas made by Songbird Ocarina. In addition to her ubiquitous fairy persona, the social media star has also produced a Freckled Zelda EP and several singles with titles like “I Feel Rather Sad,” “Stay Focused,” and “I Swear.”

If you liked Freckled Zelda’s performance, there are many ways to support her. You can follow Freckled Zelda, aka Rachael Wilson, on TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Spotify, and Facebook. You can also purchase official Freckled Zelda merchandise, or follow her personal links for unique Freckled Zelda cosplay and musical items like hair spirals, strawberry ocarinas, colored contacts, and more.

When Freckled Zelda walked out onto the AGT stage and announced, “I’m a music fairy,” I have to admit that I was inspired to carry myself a little more authentically. When the judges raised their eyebrows at her appearance and the princess performer kept smiling anyway, I was reminded to be less apologetic for being the real me. We here at Zelda Dungeon wish all the best for Freckled Zelda as she moves forward in the competition!
