If you want to purchase games off of the Nintendo 3DS e-Shop or the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console, you need to use a credit card to buy the games or to buy points. For those of you out there who don’t quite yet have a credit card or prefer not to use one, you can go to your local game store and buy a prepaid points card. For our friends in Japan, you can now buy a pre-paid card with artwork from Skyward Sword! The artwork you see on the card to the left shows Link riding on top of his red bird just outside of the central island in Skyloft. It also has the official Zelda 25th Anniversary edition logo on the right side of the card.

Previously, there was another Zelda-themed card and it was of Ocarina of Time 3D and you can see that image after the jump. The Ocarina of Time 3D prepaid card is now available in some regions outside of Japan, so be sure to be on a lookout. While I personally don’t buy too much on the e-shop, I can totally foresee myself purchasing these prepaid cards just because of the Zelda artwork attached to them. Furthermore, the Japanese Nintendo Website seems to hint that a third Zelda-themed prepaid card will be made available in just a few weeks. To me this is a small, but effective way to continue building hype for the game by tossing its artwork on various Nintendo merchandise.

Skyward Sword is set for release on November 18th in Europe and November 20th here in the United States. Be sure to stay tuned here at Zelda Dungeon for all the latest Skyward Sword goodies, including our Skyward Sword Walkthrough, which we will have ready for you as close to day one as possible. Until then, feel free to comment on these sweet looking prepaid Zelda cards.
