Skyward Sword Harp Replica on Etsy

Zelda fans are awesome. You’d be hard-pressed to find a video game series which has more dedicated and faithful fan following like the Legend of Zelda does. Probably one of the best places to see the accumulation of all this love for Zelda is Etsy, where people display and sell a large variety of items. Despite the fact that a lot of these items are handmade, there are some users who are capable of producing very high quality and professional looking items using modern manufacturing techniques. One of these users who goes by the name of PerfectTommyAutomail has produced an absolutely stunning replica of Zelda’s harp from Skyward Sword. Make the jump to check it out!

The body of the harp is made from a plastic called urethane and is finished in gold with a clear coating to give it its glossy and smooth coating. It may not be made of metal like many people may imagine Zelda’s harp to be made of but there’s no denying that it’s still a highly accurate and impressive replica. I’d say that the only negative is that the harp isn’t playable – the strings are made of twisted brass which are secured with an internal frame and springs so that the strings give a little when plucked but don’t produce a sound. However this doesn’t detract from the fact that it could be used for a range of purposes; as a decorative ornament in a room, as part of a costume for a hardcore cos-player, or perhaps just as a crown jewel to any Zelda merchandise collection.

The harp is made-to-order and will set you back $200 so you may have to save up for a while, depending on your financial circumstances. The price may seem a bit steep at first but it’s simply a testament to the amount of time and effort it took to produce such a near-prefect replica.

So are you thinking of buying it? Or would you rather spend your money on other things? Tell us in the comments below!
