What started as an April Fools’ Day joke was actually followed through this week when Triple-Q, a mashup creator on YouTube, released Super Style Oppas. This album, which contains every song from the Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U soundtrack combined with songs from Psy and other artists, features over 70 different songs from multiple Nintendo franchises. As such, a few songs from the Zelda series appear on the album, and they all sound great.

You can find all of the songs here, but I’d like to focus on one specific mashup from the album: “Dirty Gangnarudo Valley,” a combination of the Super Smash Bros. track “Gerudo Valley,” and “Talk Dirty,” by Jason Derulo. To be frank, I’m not a big fan of the original “Talk Dirty,” so when I listened to the beginning of this mashup for the first time, I was worried the song wouldn’t be as good as the others on the album (which at that point, was really impressing me).

However, as it continued to play, I was really enjoying it. The style of “Gerudo Valley” really blended well with the style of “Talk Dirty.” While Psy was downplayed quite a bit in this song, he still was injected into it, and whenever he showed up, it was quite humorous.

You can download Super Style Oppas here. The entire album is worth a listen, but if you are only interested in the Zelda mashups, I included the playlist in the second paragraph. Are there any other Zelda songs you would want Triple-Q to mashup? Let us know in the comments!
