Seth Rogan Named His Dog Zelda

Millions of people across the globe know about The Legend of Zelda. The series has touched the lives of so many and has created nostalgia that we hold dear. During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct for the reveal of the second trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie, Seth Rogan, who will be voicing Donkey Kong in the film, mentioned that Shigeru Miyamoto’s creations have certainly impacted him, so much that he named his dog Zelda!

“For my entire life I have been a fan of the worlds created by Miyamoto-san,” Rogan said. “In fact, my dog is named Zelda,” he added. You can check the Direct out above to hear Rogan talk about how he has always wanted to be involved with a Super Mario Bros. movie and how honored he is that his dream has come true.

Fans of Seth Rogan may already be familiar with Zelda. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had her first televised appearance 11 years ago on The Ellen Show when Rogan adopted her. Zelda would go on to make cameo appearances in films Rogan directed, such as This is the End and The Interview.
