The Wall Street Journal reports that two new models for the Nintendo Switch will launch as early as this summer. Much like Sony’s competing models for Playstation 4 (Pro and Slim), these new Switch models will target the hardcore and casual gaming markets, respectfully.

The first model, said to target avid video game players, will be more expensive and will tout “enhanced features”, though it reportedly will not be as powerful as the Playstation 4 Pro or Xbox One X. The second model, said to target casual gamers, will be cheaper and is seen by suppliers and developers as “a successor” to the 3DS line of handhelds. For this second model, Nintendo plans to cut some features out, such as controller vibrations, in order to keep the price down.

According to the WSJ, these two new Switch models are most likely to be introduced at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles and then released a few months later. As of now, the prices for either model have not been revealed.

Either way, we will be keeping a close eye on this year’s E3 in June to see what Nintendo has in store for us.
