Rumor: Nintendo CEO Claims NX Won’t Replace Wii U and 3DS

It comes as no surprise that a lot of Nintendo fans are worried that the NX will replace the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, especially after rumors that the NX is a home/handheld console hybrid. But according to Nintendo’s newest president Tatsumi Kimishima, fans have absolutely nothing to worry about.

In Nintendo’s latest financial briefing, Kiwishima reportedly said that the NX will not “simply replace” the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, but will instead be something entirely new altogether. As this hasn’t been announced officially at this time of writing, we are taking this as a rumor, although it could well be true.
