Roll Along With This Tears of the Kingdom and Katamari Damacy Crossover Craft

According to the video game completion site How Long to Beat, if you roll up every single thing you have to accomplish in Tears of the Kingdom, it will have you spending approximately 232 hours in the land of Hyrule. That is nearly 10 whole days of dedicating your life to this massive, Zelda-shaped beast. A certain YouTube creator has decided though to see what would happen if you rolled up everybody’s favorite tiny prince with easily one of the best games of 2023 instead.
Said YouTube crafter is none other than Studson from Studson Studio, who has combined the absurdity of puzzle-action video game Katamari Damacy with the fusing insanity that is Tears of the Kingdom. What you get is nothing short of impressive as Studson has the Prince from the Katamari series (dubbed Prince Link in the video) getting the ball quite literally rolling. From the looks of things, a lot of crafted items on this giant ball are familiar to those who have played the newest title in the Zelda series.
At first glance, the Prince appears to roll up some basic fused things, like some Zonai technology and a few pieces of wood. However, upon further inspection, there appears to be a lot more than meets the eye. For instance, you can see a poor backpacked Korok getting caught up in this rolling mess, along with Addison and one of his many well-documented signs. There’s also a Goddess Statue as well as what appears to even be the heart of a Luminous Stone Talus. Not bad for a heroic Prince just learning how to use the Zonai’s abilities.
Studson is no stranger when it comes to crafting together unique stuff in the Zelda series either. They have crafted items from the likes of the Haunted Toilet and Clock Tower from Majora’s Mask and The King of Red Lions from The Wind Waker. One of their creepiest ones though has got to be the art in the form of a centipede-shaped Epona. We also got a chance to interview Studson himself a couple of years back about the challenges of coming up with these crafting projects!
What did you think of Studson Studio’s work? Will you be checking out any more of his crafting projects? Let us know in the comments below!
