It’s not a stretch to say that the Zelda franchise has some of the most iconic music in the history of video games. What Koji Kondo has created since the franchise’s inception is nothing short of legendary, and there is no end to dedicated fans wishing to pay these pieces tribute. Enter Lame Genie, a video game cover band from Rhode Island, and their metal medley of classic Zelda tunes. Covering some of the best tracks from the original Legend of Zelda through Ocarina of Time, these guys put on quite an impressive performance over the course of its 10-minute duration. A standout for me personally is the “Kokiri Village” portion of the piece.

If you like what you’ve heard be sure to check out more covers from Lame Genie on their YouTube Channel.
