Rock Out to This Metal Cover of the Fairy Fountain Theme

Rock and metal are some of my favorite genres of music; and as a Zelda fan, I’m always stoked to hear metal covers of Zelda songs. Recently, musician FamilyJules, known best for his work on Cadence of Hyrule and the metal tribute to the history of video game music, has done a metal cover of the Fairy Fountain theme! This video is also a collaboration with Jason Richardson, another metal guitarist on YouTube.
The classic song has so much potential for metal renditions, and these musicians really hit it out of the park with this video. I particularly enjoyed the improvised solo by Richardson starting at the 1:20 mark. It’s absolutely gnarly and fits into the vibe of the cover so well; it also gets points for dripping with influence by Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold. If you want a solid banger to listen to, check out the video above!
