Rock Out to this Metal Cover of the Dark World Theme
Posted on February 20 2020 by Kristen G. Rosario
Even when you’re listening to the original SNES version of the Dark World theme from A Link to the Past, you can’t help but rock out. Koji Kondo’s amazing score for this otherworldly location feels completely different from everything the pkayer’s heard up to that point. I believe that’s why it should come as no surprise that the Dark World theme translates to rock and metal so well.
The metal cover of the Dark World theme we’re listening to today comes to us from Viking Guitar and features a full band rocking out in the woods. Viking Guitar specializes in not only video game metal covers, but arrangements inspired by TV and film as well. They’ve tackled Metroid, Trigun, Secret of Mana, Ultima, Golden Axe, Tales From the Crypt, Escape from New York, and much more. Make sure to also check out their official Bandcamp page if you want to hear more from the band.
