I’m not the only person who thought A Link Between Worlds was one of the best games of 2013, as the 3DS title was a resounding hit with critics, earning a score of 91 on Metacritic. Nintendo, it seems, has not forgotten this positive reception. Reports are claiming that Nintendo PR has been reaching out to various gaming sites recently, requesting permission to re-quote reviews of A Link Between Worlds for promotional purposes.

While there are currently no explanations for these requests, some have speculated that Nintendo will use these review quotes to advertise their Nintendo Selects line of games. However, there are rumblings that a Nintendo Direct will take place on January 11th, so we may learn more in the coming week.

What do you make of these review requests? Do you think Nintendo has special plans for A Link Between Worlds? Share your thoughts with us below.

A Link Between Worlds 1.5 edition for the Switch. Now using the style of 3D Zelda, cutting some items, reusing the same exact story, and making a useless item the most important key of the game… oh wait, that was done before (ALttP and OoT). But in all honesty, I’d like to see the painting mechanic return, just don’t copy Odyssey’s full-on functionality, but remove the magic meter.

    Wait… you didn’t like ALBW?

I didn’t say that. Heck, I love ALBW. The painting mechanic is one of my favorite gimmicks of the franchise (right below the masks in MM). I was just mocking the transition from ALttP to OoT since OoT reuses the same exact story, cut out some items, and made a barely useful item from ALttP the most important item/the game’s gimmick.

a new zelda 3ds game would be awesome, like a classic top down game….just me?….ok…
