Mewmore, a YouTuber who does remixes of video game music, has recently uploaded a cover of Ocarina of Time’s “Main Theme”. This version of the tune opens with a slower piano chord than the original, which allows the instrument to mimic the original’s string sounds. As well, Mewmore has a simple guitar chord accompany the piano.

From there, instead of the original “Main Theme’s” simple ocarina tune over a soft background melody, Mewmore uses a variety of flutes and other wooden instruments to make the piece more vibrant and alive. And adding more depth to the song is an inclusion of “Saria’s Song”. Mewmore’s version of the song sounds like it could be part of a different game series while also managing to still sound unmistakably like Zelda, which is a testament to the artist’s ability.
