Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Are Coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in March

Revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct, Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are making their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! Fulfilling series creator Masahiro Sakurai’s desire to include Pyra in the base game, the duo is set to join the fray this March.
Aside from the announcement itself, the most noteworthy element of this reveal is the way in which these characters work in tandem. Similarly to how Zelda could swap back and forth from her Sheik form in Melee and Brawl, Pyra can transform into Mythra mid-battle. As appreciated as alternate character costumes are, I much prefer this approach — integrating two, distinct forms into a single character.
