Put Your Knowledge of Breath of the Wild’s Geography to the Test with HyruleGuessr

Have you spent hundreds of hours exploring Breath of the Wild‘s Hyrule? Have you been consulting Zelda Dungeon’s interactive map? Do you know Hyrule like the back of your hand? Then put that knowledge to the test with HyruleGuessr!
Based on GeoGuessr, a popular browser game and app which places players in Google Earth’s street view and makes them guess where in the world they are, HyruleGuessr takes that same concept and applies it to Breath of the Wild‘s Hyrule. Players are shown a screenshot, and its up them to determine where in Hyrule the screenshot was taken. Over the course of five rounds, players are scored based on how close their guess is to the actual location.
Using landmarks like Hyrule Castle, Death Mountain, and Shiekah Towers will be essential to triangulating your position. In my own time playing, I found myself considering things like elevation, terrain, trees, and other more subtle clues when easily definable landmarks are absent.
Gameplay modes include solo play, ranked matches where you compete against other players in daily challenges, and custom challenges developed by the community. Players can even create their own challenges and submit screenshots to be used in the game.
So, do you think you’ve got what it takes? How was your score? Was it easier or harder than you expected? Let us know how you did in the comments!
