Professional Harp Cover of The Great Fairy’s Fountain
Posted on August 22 2015 by Alexis S. Anderson
The Great Fairy’s Fountain theme has been a part of the Zelda series since 1991, and Zelda fans have been covering the song with all sorts of instruments ever since. One very impressive cover was recently done by professional Harpist, Amy Turk. She fell in love with the Zelda series during her teenage years and has since transcribed a number of Ocarina of Time songs for the harp. Her solo arrangement of the Great Fairy’s Fountain was nearly ten years in the making, and it shows. This cover is the most beautiful and accurate one I’ve probably ever heard, check it out after the jump!
I sincerely hope Turk continues to publish her Ocarina of Time performances online because if the rest of her harp covers are as flawless as this one, I’ll be a fan for life. You can subscribe to Turk on her YouTube channel where she posts harp covers of classical and modern music from every genre. Turk is based in Surrey and available for events across the south of England, contact her here for information or to book.
What did you think of this cover? What Ocarina of Time song do you hope Turk covers next? Would you like her to cover songs from any other Zelda game? Share your thoughts in the comments!
