Among the many, many new features introduced in Breath of the Wild, the latest Zelda adventure allows Link cook up meals with ingredients found within the game world. Most of the dishes that our hero concocts can make any player’s mouth water, which is why so many fans online are attempting to bring these recipes into the real world. Projects like The Legend’s Cookbook, which recently launched a successful Kickstarter, aim to faithfully recreate Breath of the Wild‘s delicious dishes, but none are more efficient at cooking up some grub than Polygon’s Brian David Gilbert.

As part of Polygon’s Unraveled show, host Brian David Gilbert teamed up Adam Moussa of food website Eater to cook every single dish from Breath of the Wild in a single day. They are mad men. Gilbert and Moussa prepare bite-sized portions of every meal using only the ingredients that Link uses in the game; this means that they only add things like salt when Link does. The resulting dishes range from absolutely atrocious — as was the case with the steamed meals — to surprisingly delicious — as with the wheat bread.

The self-imposed time limit and ingredient restrictions definitely do some the dishes a disservice, but they also make for an extremely entertaining video. As with all Unraveled episodes, Gilbert introduces a creative ranking system for all of the meals, as he and Moussa decide how many hearts each one would replenish based on its tastiness. The more dubious a food, the less hearts it would be assigned. The video is anchored by Gilbert’s natural wit and charisma, which helps the 30 minute runtime go by in a flash.

You can check out even more episodes of Unraveled, such as one where Gilbert arranges all Zelda titles into a single timeline, on Polygon’s YouTube channel right here.
